Call to Worship (based on Luke 2:41-52)
Leader: Come, let us gather in the house of the Lord
People: Where wisdom dwells and understanding grows
Leader: Like the young Jesus in the temple
People: We come seeking knowledge of holy things
Leader: Let us listen with eager hearts
People: And ask questions that deepen our faith
Leader: In this sacred space, we find our true family
People: All who seek God's face are sisters and brothers
Leader: Christ grew in wisdom and in years
People: May we also grow in grace and understanding
Leader: Let us worship the One who teaches us
All: And makes His home in our midst. Amen.
Opening Prayer (based on Psalm 148)
Let us pray:
Loving Creator, Maker of heaven and earth,
We join today with all of creation in lifting our voices in praise to You. Like the sun and moon that faithfully light our days and nights, we shine forth Your glory. Like the mountains and hills that stand as ancient witnesses to Your majesty, we stand firm in our faith.
As the winds carry Your whispers across the earth, let our words carry Your message of love to all we meet. Just as the waters below and the heavens above testify to Your greatness, may our lives reflect Your boundless grace.
Lord, we gather with the angels, joining our voices with the hosts of heaven. Like the stars scattered across the night sky, we are Your children, each uniquely placed by Your hand to illuminate the darkness.
From the depths of the oceans to the highest peaks, from the smallest creature to the mightiest beast, all creation sings Your praise. Today, we add our humble voices to this endless chorus.
Make us mindful, O God, that we are part of Your grand symphony of praise. Help us to live in harmony with all You have made, to be good stewards of Your creation, and to recognize Your presence in every living thing.
We praise You, for Your name alone is exalted; Your glory is above earth and heaven.
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
